Swan Inn

At the Swan Inn, there are three areas to view the race, upstream of the pub is an open lawn immediately next to the sailing club's dyke. From here you can not only watch the start, but also see the organisation at the sailing club and the yachts circling, waiting for their allotted start. Unfortunately, on bright days you are also looking straight into the sun!

The Swan Inn itself has a small beer garden, but visibility from here is usually limited owing to moored craft often used by the sponsors for entertaining.

Downstream of the inn is the public staithe, which has plenty of space for viewing, but again is usually full of moored cruisers, often including a number of classic wooden craft.

New Inn

The New Inn gives a good view of the yachts on their way down the Street after leaving the start. The view can be impeded by moored boats, but on a nice sunny day, it can be very civilised sitting in the beer garden drinking beer and watching the race pass by. There is limited parking for patrons only.

Ferry Inn

The Ferry Inn is one of the most popular spots to watch the beginning of the race, with a large beer garden and plenty of patron parking

Opposite the Ferry Inn is Woodbastwick Staithe, unfortunately road access is poor and a long drive from Horning!

Parking is at an absolute premium in Horning on race day, by mid-morning almost every available space will be taken either by competitors or spectators, this includes the pay and display car park near the Swan Inn.
